UPS has been a corporate member of TurkishWIN since 2011. Our partner has an amazing Volunteer and Women Leadership Development Program. 

The UPS team has always been deeply aware of gender equality challenges and opportunities: 

  • Companies are beginning to implement diversity and inclusion policies to build an inclusive culture.
  • Women suffer from lack of networks, gender biases and equal opportunity at the workplace and do not join or rise to their potential at companies.

As a business issue, the UPS team has been focused on the following:  

  • Building an inclusive culture relies on employee participation at culture change initiatives like UPS’ Women Leader Development network and to attract more female talent to the logistics sector.
  • Logistics sector relies on the B2B network and awareness of the brand. How can the UPS team engage employees to build the network power of UPS to contribute to a gender equal future.

The Co-creation Journey 

2011 I UPS became our corporate member.

2011-2015 I TurkishWIN mainly supported UPS’ Women Leadership Platform activities. 

2014 I First design of three co-creation projects leveraging the UPS network and the DEI passion of the project team: KLP - Women Leadership Platform- was one of the three programs. TurkishWIN introduced KAGIDER as a project partner. The other two experiments were aborted after a year. 

2015 I Kadın Liderlik Platformu, omen Leadership Network (WLD),  first designed by TurkishWIN, powered by UPS employees and UPS Foundation, became a sought after network managed by TurkishWIN and KAGIDER .

2019 I The European Bank of Research and Development joined the WLD  partnership to scale impact and reach.

2021I Our co-creation focus shifted to content development as WLD is now at a mature stage.

Borusan Holding was our corporate member from 2012 to 2016.

The Borusan team has always been  a leader in addressing social issues for the society with various women empowerment initiatives.  

As a corporate member, they were our first sponsor of the TurkishWIN Career Day. Actually, we planned the activity with their encouragement. We send a big heart to the team! 

As a business issue, the Borusan team has been focused on the following:  

  • Building a women’s initiative that is both inclusive and reflective of Borusan ways 
  • The holding has a number of companies in different sectors, an amazing volunteer program and shifting focus to the company vis-a-vis gender equality issues. The holding has been a heavy contributor to society in large by then. 

Our value proposition: 

  • Advisory services: TurkishWIN worked side by side with the HR and Communication teams to position, name (yes Borusan Eşittir was our suggestion) and design a platform that will promote inclusive culture across all Borusan group companies. Gender equality was one of the pillars of the platform and the first one to launch at the Borusan Eşittir Platform in November of 2015.

Women Leadership Platform  (WLP) is a platform. Our objective is to provide a learning and development network for private sector leaders in Turkey through exchange of experience and best practices in diversity and inclusion (D&I) programs with a specific focus on gender equality, equity and inclusion. 

TurkishWIN (Turkish Women’s International Network), KAGİDER (Women Entrepreneurs  Association) and UPS Turkey launched the Women Leadership Platform (KLP) in 2014. In line with its mission, EBRD joined KLP  as a partner in 2019.
