Our MentorWIN program is getting better day by day. The MentorWIN 4.0 Workshop with TurkishWIN mentees and mentors helped us listen and learn in order to strengthen our team of TurkishWIN volunteers.
On October 6th, we held our MentorWIN Advisory Circle to gain insights on improving our program. We thank GDA Founding Partner Gülcan Demirkol Aytemur, Koç University Career Counselor Seray Nasırlı, Former General Manager of Borusanİstinye AyşeÖktem and Motiva International Training and Coaching Services Founding Director Gamze Acar Bayraktaroğlu for their commitment in taking our program to new heights! Also, our rockstar interns, Dilek Şaşkın, Tunya Irkad, and Müge Fırsat helped us a lot with their fresh ideas.
We joined the TEGEP Summit on October 25th with a Reverse Mentoring panel. Reverse mentors who have experienced this program with TurkishWIN and Bahçesehir University were with us to share their journey.
We were also at the EMCC Summit on October 27th to share our best practices with the corporations and NGOs who want to launch mentoring programs in their institutions. Sharing is caring! We learned from our peers and were inspired by new programs and ways of thinking. We thank Dr. Rıza Kadılar for the invitation to present both at the NGO and keynote sessions.
For newcomers, the TurkishWIN mentoring program matches TurkishWINners with peer-to-peer, senior-to-junior, Diaspora-Turkey, or local-local mentor/mentee connections. We recommend that our matched mentors/mentees have at least 6 meetings in this six months long program and meet more frequently in the first couple of months. After six months, you will decide whether to continue or end the program.
