CampusWIN Academy Day on Career Literacy at Ferko Assembly                                                                           

We are learning the 21st century skills all year long at CampusWIN. Well, Spring marks a special time for all CampusWINners, as we busy ourselves with job interviews. This Academy Day was dedicated to help us brush up our career literacy skill set! The day’s program was as follows:

We were at our own offices at Ferko Signature Assembly in March. TurkishWIN and BinYaprak teams are working at this business hub. Assembly’s mission is to build a progressive business society. We were at the right place to learn and grow.

Our teams shared updates. Next, our rock star Engagement Team gave a wonderful presentation on how to make CampusWIN run even better. They have called all 100+ leaders to collect feedback, ideas and suggestions- rock on!

After the lunch, our career literacy sessions started. Our first speaker, Hasan Tahsin Güngör is a business leader, a musical instrument designer, a consultant at İş Kavramları and a teacher of a course on “Business Life” at Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University. Hasan Tahsin Güngör and his firm also sponsor our Talent Insight Motivator tests and help us navigate our precious reports. All CampusWINners take these tests as part of their leadership journey during Orientation. Hasan Tahsin recommended that we start our journey by answering four fundamental questions:  Who am I ?; What do I want?; Where do I want to go? ; When do I want to get there?'  He shared his own experiences as he laid out the framework and an action plan for our self development journey.

Next up was Yaprak Metin, Board Advisor at Toksöz Group. She gave us an overview of the group interview process and why companies use this step in their candidate evaluation. Well, we had a fun simulation in groups. Experienced TurkishWINners were our facilitators as we solved a business case in a group session. At the end of the simulation, everyone received individual feedback on their group interaction. This simulation gave us a real life taste of what awaits in business life!

After the end of the Academy Day, we had a treat! We connected to Silicon Valley for a STEAMWIN online event and met amazing engineers and listened to their stories and advice for career in the USA.

We know we will meet each other again at the TurkishWIN Career Day in a few weeks. We left the Academy Day with excitement of the countdown.
